Check it before any renovation, demolition or sale: work at an affected property is limited to what is essential for health, safety or reasonable living conditions, or demolition, and a seller must disclose that a property is on the Register.

Permits and Access Canberra rules
Whether a job at a Canberra property needs building approval is for Access Canberra and the certifier to say. An application for approval for a class 1, 2, 3 or 4 building erected before 1985 must include an asbestos removal control plan, and at a loose-fill (Mr Fluffy) affected property building work is limited to essential work or demolition.
